Do Your Saharans Pass Fur?

ginebig Aug 27, 2009 04:38 PM

I've noticed when my Saharans eat anything over 20 or so grams in weight there is an occassional undigested piece of fur passed. Is this common? Maybe due to overtaxing the digestive system with a too large meal? Or might it be something more serious?

Make sure they aren't actually regurging. Only have kenyans myself, but I've never seen fur after eating in 12 years unless it was a regurge. Check your temps and make sure they are high enough. Also you may want to check for parasites.
