mouse eaters.... my strategy

meeslither Sep 01, 2009 11:14 AM

i have a super picky irian jaya that all but refuses rats, which is a pain in the butt because she is about 5 feet long and can eat like 6-8 large mice. I have found that if i put her in a SMALL container with a thawed rat her natural cage aggression will make her eat. I use a small round critter keeper maybe a foot in diameter. this, in combination with washing and scenting rats with mice is a sure fire way to get your mouse eaters on rats. hope this helps

I have a pair of long term confimed moussers, and they both took thawed rabbit fuzzies.
