Puget Sound Garter Colors

scaledverts Sep 03, 2009 01:58 PM

Hello

I just picked up a couple of reverse trios of pugets the other weekend from Scott Felzer and have a question regarding their colors for those of you that have raised some of them. I know that when they are born you cannot predict what their adult colors will be. My question is, when does the adult coloration start to come in? These guys really are nice looking snakes, and I love the feeding response. All of mine are already eating pinkie halves (some unscented).

I had a few born, some are a paler green color and 1 or 2 were born VERY blue. I would expect the very blue ones to color up nicer than the greenish ones, but I also expect that even the paler green ones will get more color as they grown.
