I work at a ski resort and I find garters all the time I usually carey my snake bag with me at all times at work, I honestly Herp every hour of every day, I just think the little she/he is awsome, if you all could help me figure out what kind it is that would be great!! thanks to all
Actually, that's not a garter snake at all, looks to be a Dekay's brown snake, Storeria dekayi! They stay very small, they favor small slugs and garden snails, and occasionally little earthworms as prey.
oh soo cool, I was wondering why I couldn't find a pic any where lol, I'll be letting him go tomorrow, I got my pics and now know what species she/he is. I'll have to keep a close eye out for those little Brown snakes.
