Hello,

This is my first Bredl's and my first Morelia sp. I wasn't expecting to get it so soon, but I got a deal that I couldn't pass up at the local reptile show. He's a baby male, named him Brett. (I know, not very creative.) It was tough to get pics since he was pretty active, and I wanted to get him in his new home asap.

Thanks for looking,
Ed

That is so cool. I envy you. Unfortunately I cannot have such a big snake where I live. I can only have balls and under but I have a male albino boa that i am hiding. I would like to get one and hide it as well but I would want to give it a nice setup instead of a tub.

Thanks! Some of the local laws regarding snakes are ludicrous. If you don't mind me asking, is this a local/city ordinance? Do you live in the US? While a lot of the focus is on the Federal and State bills, I think these local laws are just as, if not more, likely to kill our hobby.

I live los angeles but it is my landlord who is being the punk. He is spooked by all the news about snakes killing kids. I have tried to explain to him the difference but he will only allow balls.

Enjoy your new purchase but beware the morelias are an addictive snake at least for me. I started off with one jungle and now have added a diamond, coastal, bredls, and two jags to the collection. My favorite family of snakes out of those I have owned and now the focus of my collection. Just something about the nature of them.

Thanks! I know a lot of people feel the same way as you do. I already like him a lot, he's got a nice calm attitude for any snake, much less a baby. I'm curious to see how his color changes/brightens as he grows older.
