Congrats on a great litter. How long was the gestation period. Mine bred in Dec - Feb and is looking terrible. She has not eaten in months and is very skinny except her baby bulge. I'm worried.
Thanks a lot Tom and Coach.
Tom,
These are some of the babies I emailed you pictures a couple weeks ago. But these are more recent pics.
Coach,
The gestation period was 131 days, except for that baby with a thick stripe that was around 150 days, from a different female.
Nothing to worry about, it is normal that females loose a lot of body mass during gestation, but they can recover it in around 4 months after giving birth, if you feed them well (also depends on the female´s appetite and how much weight it did loose).
Thanks much. That makes it a little easier. I'm still worried though, she looks so bad.
THE CHANGE C. BATESI GOES THRU IS INCREDIBLE WITH THE ACTUAL ADDITION OF MORE WHITE..GUYANA SHIELDS NEVER GET MORE WHITE THAN THEIR BORN WITH....

Those are great looking. That is a needed animal in my collection. Those look about as green as they come, did they go through a full change while inside the mom : )
Thanks Sola,
No, they were all born orange. They are 9 months old in this picture.
I´ve never seen an Amazon basin being born green.
WOW! Those are some knockout animals! Congrats - they all look phenominal.
