Pics of my Rio Fuerte's

Fascination Sep 09, 2009 09:59 PM

I know how I love to see pics of animals so I thought I'd share mine. I acquired these approx. 2 years ago from Chuck Glut of Saving Grace Reptiles and were the last Beadeds that he had produced. Luck has it they are in the late stages of their shed,
however I think you get the idea. The pics are unaltered and not edited for color as you see so much. They will be 4 years old this
February (2nd). Looking forward to my first attempt with these guys! They were sold to me as a probable pair and judging by their
heads and neck region in comparison, I'm confident and hopeful. What do you guys think?????? Enjoy

Nice looking pair! Mine were 4yrs old when the female had her first clutch. I'll be going for round 2 this year! They sure look like a pair to me! Mine actually probed correctly. The female still probed deep but the male was much deeper. Couldn't hurt to try that for a second guess. Good luck this season!!!

Hi All
To my knowledge Heloderma is not sexable by probe. Nice lizards from Chuck. Sexing from a photo is near impossible. Im only about 88% if i have two adults to look at in person.
Good Luck

hey Steve, thanks for the compliments on the beadeds. I just locked up a deal on 4 beadeds from a guy that has bought SEVERAL beadeds from you and among them is a pair of 1 1/2 year olds that you produced . One of them is absolutely stunning in my opinion. Nice rib bars and yellow highlights on every scale. Was his holdback from you. Also a pair of 2006 animals produced by you that are very similar to the ones I have posted here. Although I didn't buy them directly from you, I am excited to own some of yours and very excited with the 1 1/2 year olds. I'll get some pics up when I receive them!

Nice rios, I once bought a first pick from his group and although nice was a much different looking locality then my main group. You are far better off getting an endoscope done and knowing 100% what sex they are. I dont care who says whatever it will still leave an element of doubt. An endoscope is affordable and money well spent if you plan on breeding them. Head size, ect. can fool anyone, endoscopes do not lie.
Good Luck, Robert Sutton

Robert, I know you are from Ohio and I have actually spoken to a couple vets that offer endoscope in the akron area and it was very expensive. I have a group of 6 rio's, 4 of which I will be cycling shortly. None the sex gender is 100% known. They were all bought as probables, but we all know how that goes...lol. Mathamaticly speaking I'm confident. The price that was quoted to me by vets were around $300-$400 per lizard! Any info on a vet in northern or central ohio that offers endoscope reasonable would be appreciated.....A group price would be nice. Thx.
