Question on size/aging:

TheDuder Sep 12, 2009 07:17 PM

I just got a leopard today (Kumar) and was told he is around 9 months of age. Just wondering at what age they are considered full grown and also how much a 9 month old should eat. Since I got him he has already eaten 2 crickets and a few wax worms (I know I shouldn't feed him many wax worms). He is sleeping in his den at the moment, but I will post a pic for the help of ageing him. Oh, at what age approximately can you determine sex?

Thanks.

A picture would help to determine his age. You can sex them at 6 months of age. If he is 9 months then he would be eating 4-8 3/4 inch or larger crickets every other day but that does depend on his size and the time of year because they do have a cool down time in the winter and don't eat very much during that time.
