Did you find that the fox influence knocks the colour out.

i think it's too early too tell about the color. the mother wasn't very colorfull as a hatchling, but time can change alot. only two of eight eggs hatched. maybe next year I'll have better luck. by the way no trickery was involved in pairing them, and it was a first time breeding for both parents. here is the father and the mother.

i only asked because all the fox hybrids iv seen retained the colour from the fox and seemed to always knock any red out the window.
as you said only time will tell, well done either way.
