Actually, you've already met her, but she's looking better than ever in her freshly shed shiny skin and thick, chubby coils! I have named my florida erythristic Blossom because that is exactly what she has done, she has blossomed from an extremely shy, scared snake that was incredibly reluctant to feed and slightly skinny into a very outgoing, constantly hungry, flaming red beauty. She grew into that oversized head and shows off her colors better than ever now. She is also slightly gravid and I am not sure whether whatever's in there will come out as jellybeans or baby snakes... we will see! Palpating reveals 6 or 7 distince bumps in her belly. And of course, a big thanks to Scott Felzer for providing me with the opportunity to work with this snake!!

And here she is with Bluela, my normal florida blue eastern!

Hey Scott,

This snake will absolutely not touch a rodent that is 1)not served with a side of fish or 2) has any fur. For a very small time period she was accepting them unscented. She then started to get really squeamish about eating them. They have to be pinkies and they have to smell like silversides or at least be fed at the same time she is being fed the silversides. She has a texture issue, she gets really freaked out about the fur even if it's slathered in fish juice!!! She drops an adult or hopper mouse about 2 seconds after picking it up. And it's funny because she will keep biting at it, she WANTS to eat it but her mouth won't let her!!! I gave up on handing her pinkies with the fish a while ago because sometimes she drops those too, I now just stuff the pinkies inside the silversides!
