Is there anyway to a Uromastyx from dragging its food all over the place?

Apparently not!!! Mine does the same with her greens and flowers. I sometimes wonder if they try to squirrel greens and other plant matter away in nooks and crannies to dry out and save for later. Kind of like putting hay up for later.

Was slightly worried about impaction risk even though its on play sand rather something more troublsesome.

Do a raised Feeding platform, use slate and some low bricks. This will also give your Uro another hide

wouldn't make any difference considering how afr he drags the stuff!

Took your adive and got a 12X12 flat quartz slate and laid it in there after clearing out the sand to make a platform. I think it will cover the general area he drags his food over!
