Fungus on my veiled?

cindysenjanovic Sep 19, 2009 06:52 PM

My veiled has round circular patch which looks like a fungus. She is kept in a bare bottom tank and conditions are dry. Is there a way to treat it? What could be used? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post a picture please?

Some fungi can be treated with a topical ointment...others go too deep and are more invasive so you really should see a vet and have it tested to see what it is.

If you treat in with an ointment and its the kind that is invasive then you won't cure it.

for most keepers a standard 2x2x4' cham cage would be a better direction. for a great source of info on veiled care please check out; http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/

One thing I should have said...the only way you will know what the spot is is to take it to a vet and have a culture done.
