Leopard Gecko - Tail Shrinking

Zuukz Sep 21, 2009 12:39 PM

Greetings and thanks for this forum.

I have a Leo about 15 years old and her tail is getting smaller, not fat like it used to be. She eats well, mainly crikets and a pinky now and then. She poops fine and I did a fecal float and saw nothing in the way of parasites. She is on scalci-and substrate and been on it for years. Heat wise she has a day uv lamp and a 75 watt heat lamp on one side and another night lamp.
The day and nite lamps are on timers, the heat lamp on all the time. She drinks well, and just shed. Is it normal for her age mabye and that is why her tail is getting smaller (less fat).
