Is there a way to guage the age of my rosy. I was told it was about six months old but in pics I've seen of rosys from 05 mine seems the same size. Any advice?

There's a lot of variation in adult sizes with boas from coastal CA localities typically being much larger than boas from the interior deserts, Baja, or AZ. If you have a coastal or coastal desert integrade and are comparing it to one of the smaller localities this could explain the size difference. Males also tend ot be quite a bit smaller than females.
There's variation with rosys sizes, but there really isn't any way that a 6 month old snake can be 32 inches. A rosy of that size is a large adult. Is that really it's length? Can you measure it?
I've seen big babies that were fed every other day to get them ready for breeding projects, and they still didn't grow nearly that fast.
The other thing to think about is that a rosy born 6 months ago would have to have been born out of season....the vast vast majority of breeders produce rosys in the fall.
Can you maybe post a picture?
I will get the tape measure out again. It's sometimes difficult to measure him. I will also post a pic soon. I bought it from a pet store which I'm finding on these forums might not have been the best idea.
Sorry I'm posting from my iPhone. He is 22 not 32. Sorry will post pic when I figure out how.

Whew. I had read the earlier post chanceb77 posted regarding the 32-inch 6-month-old rosy and was concerned that maybe I wasn't feeding mine enough, as my 14-month-old rosy is only ~21 inches. Mine's handling 2 large pinkies every 5 days and has tripled in weight since January.

Sorry if you kept reading I corrected myself on the length. I post from my phone at work and don't always proofread my posts. I still think I was mislead about the age. Yours looks very similar to mine.
I recently adopted a sandboa that was FIVE years old and only ate pinks!!! The owners were told they ate pinks so that's all it ever got. It's eating 2 medium mice per meal now a few months later. I guess my point is that age isn't all that important.
