One of my leopard geckos had just started having shedding problems. Well I put it in a small container with paper towel to help in its shed and a about an hour I took it out and peeled some of shed off on its head. Now he wont open his eyes. It happened a week or two ago and one of his eyes got cloudy then he wouldnt open it but he still ate. I didnt want to stress him out and make it worse so I didnt call the vet but now both of his eyes are stuck shut it looks like. Im gonna call the vet tomorrow but what could be wrong and can anything be done? thanks.

I'm sorry to hear about that. There are many reasons this could have happened such as substrate getting in his eye,an infection. Hope the vet can help. For future incidents I would take them to the vet at the earliest sign of a problem so there is a better chance of helping them.GL
