Urgent! White stuff around mouth?

mdterp Sep 27, 2009 06:15 PM

Okay guys I need some help. My turtle has this strange white stuff around his mouth that is sticky. He is an EBT and is by himself in his pen. The temperature today was around 70 and it rained. Yesterday I fed him romaine, tomato, and grated carrots.
One new thing I did was adding cod liver oil, which I think might have contributed to this. I don't know how. I give him fresh water daily. Can someone please help I am really wooried. Here are some pictures that I posted on another forum.

Looks like he ate a slug. He is a beautiful boxie. I have been looking for one with that coloring for a while now. Just beautiful.

Yup, either slug or snail: they both leave goo like that around the turtle's mouth.
