St. Helenas.............................

Just stirring the pot a bit as the mountain king forum is again at a lull. So why not warm things up with a lovely couple of Napa County z.z. Things are slowing down otherwise as everyone slowly shuts down for the winter....a bittersweet feeling.

Nice pair Mr. Kruse. Yeah, just about all of my Mountain Kings have said enough is enough and want to take a long nap. For that matter, most of the collection has started to do the same with the exception of the babies. Now if I just had a wine fridge I would be good!!

Nice z's Jerry, I kinda like the creamy white.

My adult pyros are still feeeding, although most are only taking smaller meals. My yearling pyros and greeri shut down early. I have one '08 pyro female that will still take live, but stopped taking f/t a month ago.

I always look forward to a few months reduced feeding and cage cleaning.

How large are those snakes? They look very stout.

Hiya Rick,

these adults are just under 30 inches, the female being slightly larger. I don't have an exact measurement, but they are rather "stout". These are indeed pure zz and have all the characteristics including the white ventral marker on the first red ring. will post an additional pic or two once i am able to access online service from my own PC......we are experiencing technical difficulties.........how are things?

Jerry, if your referring to the white under the chin extending to the first ring ventrally I've seen that in almost every parv I've ever found. At 30" and as stout as those look they are big/long for zz from what I've seen. In any case those are some awesome looking zonata.
