I did a search online without results, other than the canned Zoo Med stuff which my animals will not touch with a 10 ft pole,I don't know. Let me know if you find something, I didn't see any kicking around the yard this summer.

My females love the canned grasshoppers. I first offered them right after egg-laying, so anything that even LOOKED like a bug was in danger! I keep a few of those things around so I can sometimes cheat my way into stretching crickets for one more day, since the girls are my oldest/largest/ heaviest eaters.

I've found a few places they can be ordered from. Supposedly they're very slow to sting and hurt no more than a mosquito if they do. I'm actually playing with the idea of setting up a mesh terrarium with some flowers and an overhead light and attempting to raise them indoors, as an alternative to crickets and roaches. I imagine wild lizards would be leery of them, having had bad experiences with other bees, but mine are all CB, so, just wondering... has anybody who has them buzzing around locally ever tried them as feeders?

Well if they can't inflict a painful sting then they might go for them. However if they are a bee mimic your lizards may instinctively know to leave them be! Just the way North American lizards know not to eat fireflys but nonindigenous lizards will.
