This male was just graduated to pinkies. Colors are washed out in the photo, he is smoking orangish red on his sides/ventrals.

This is the second snow red sided in the world (Jeff Benfer produced the first one).

hypo ?? This girl has lightened up a lot in the past month, she could be hypo ? Opinions are welcome on this. This girl is extremely wild, which is why the photos are poor.

These have colored up immensely in the past 2 months. Of the 12 albinos produced from the double het Carteret cty/Myrtle Beach erythristics, about half ended up being normal albinos, 4 were low end erythristic albinos and 2 are flaming high end ery albinos (this one and # 11). The pic is washed out, these are extremely orange/purple/red in color and are really cool when seen in person.

This is a "low end" erythristic albino eastern male.

This is my favorite erythristic albino imo, he is a rich orange color with lavender and pink mixed in.

This female is a slow grower, just now starting to put some size on. Really like her pattern. Got her from Joe Peck.

Had a long discussion w/ Jeff Benfer on this girl's morphage, will breed her to a normal next year and if axanthics are produced, it will prove her out to be the world's first blizzard.

Scott,
blizzard is the best discriptive term for now, but I hope maybe we can come up with something else to call this if it does prove out to be one copy axanthic and one copy anerythristic, plus two copies albino, because blizzard which is a term borrowed from corns (amel and charcoal, double recessive combo), is really a different genotype and all recessive genes, whereas the axanthic plains gene is a dominant gene to wild type, but based on previous breedings appears to be a co-dominant allele to anerythristic at the same loci. There is still a lot of work and breeding trials to be done to characterize the relationship of these 3 plains morphs: axanthic, anery, albino....not just how they relate to wild type genes, but also how they relate to each other and in combinations. This is very intersting and may prove to be quite unique.

Scott,
looks like some erythristic blood influence to me??? shrug.
based on the red/orange on the top side.
Is there known erythristic in the background bloodline? as is the case to my knowledge in most flames at this point?

Where did it come from?....Parents?
Jeff & Tom,
This was produced from the original Myrtle Beach female bred to a high red flame het for anerythristic. Can't wait to see what she looks like as an adult.
Scott
Definitely looks like the most complete cross between the two I have seen.
Yep, that explains it doesn't it, being that flame and erythristic are both polygenetic behaving traits, and erythristic seems to be even more polygenetic and harder to pass on to offspring with out diluting and achieving the same phenotype look as the original parents....this is that 1 in 100 snake, great example of what snake to select out a be "THE" breeder. Now take that and add ablino... thats what we are all wanting to see when we open that tub in the spring, solid neon orange top to bottom, lol.

Scott,
She is looking very nice. I think you would agree, thus far these are the nicest, cleanest, most pigment and patternless snows ever produced.... in any species of snake for that matter. I can still see all the organs and the heart beating and what was eaten recently by holding them up in the light, they are practically see thru... and the eyes are way cool, clear pink glass.
