Black Spot In My Iguana's Tail?

waldoo Oct 10, 2009 09:54 AM

Today, I was checking up on my iguana when I noticed it had this weird black spot in its tail. It's in shedding procces by the way, but so far he has only one black spot.

Here's a picture:

Yes, I know, the picture its not in its best quality, but its the best I could take with a kind of crappy camera.

Thanks in advance.

Since iguanas seem prone to infections, I would always advise a vet visit.

Home remedies include lukewarm baths with Betadine solution the color of weak tea and Panalog ointment, but nothing beats the expertise and precise medication offered by an informed herp vet.
