? about sunseed critter cubes and.....

adamjeffery Oct 12, 2009 04:13 PM

i have been looking around locally and the stores around here can get 2 types of lab block. sunseed critter cubes and l and m animal farms classic mouse/rat mix.
none of the stores carry them in stock so i cant read the nutritional values and i cant find them online.
so anyone with experience with either of them could chime in it would be great.
also if anyone has a link to what is best for rats and mice layed out in a percentage format.
thanks in advance.

They are fine for lay around pets but basically suck for breeding. I know many folks on here love lab blocks...typically mazuri and "higher end" sorts. Personally I feed dog and cat kibble. When I am feeding a bunch with tons of newborns I tend to toss in some higher % cat kibble. Sunflower seeds will add some fat...good for making milk.

But the stuff available in pet stores is great for pets. Not so good for feeding breeders. See if the store can or will order you some other stuff.
