What is this? half lizard / snake?

eagle11 Oct 13, 2009 03:12 PM

I dont know much about reptiles, but i took a pic with my camera phone of an odd looking lizard. It is in my screened in porch and i want to get it out but want to make sure its not poisonous or anything. It looks like it has a lizard body with a really long orange tail. Almost like a cross between somekind of snake or salamander. If anyones knows what this is please let me know. I live in Orlando FL

In my opinion(sorry not that great at spelling) i think it is a salamader. Where did you find it? If it was under something moist it is probably a salamander. But once again this is just my opinion
