Dechlorintor product...

kiknskreem Oct 14, 2009 08:22 PM

Hello, I recently caught either an American or Fowler's toad.

Can somebody please provide a link to an appropriate water dechlorniator? Most of the stuff online seems to be for fish and comes with some kind of slime coating....

Thanks!

One bottle lasts so long anyway that it's not worth paying shipping on. Any pet shop/aquarium store will have multiple products,as will the pet section of most drug stores and supermarkets. Really the only thing you've got to make sure of is that it's not something super-powerful, simply because then small dosages will be difficult. Read the instructions on the bottle, get a brand that uses one or two drops per gallon, and use a clean designated gallon jug just for toad water. I've brought stuff home and then discovered it was "one tablespoon per ten gallons," which is kind of useless when dealing with my toad's water dish!
