Locale of Jaguar???

tevie84 Oct 29, 2009 07:18 AM

If someone can help me I would appreciate it. I know there are different locales of carpets but I see the Jaguar morph take on the name of IJ jaguar, coastal jag, bredli jag, diamond jag etc. What locale does the jag morph originate from? Thanks.

If memory serves me correct the jaguar morph originated from a coastal carpet python. then was bred into the jungle, IJ, diamond etc etc.

started with costals, is now a pattern-affecting genetic trait, here's a good article explaining it in greater detail:

The Jaguar Originated Over Seas in the Mcdowelli sub-species, It has always been a pattern affecting genetic trait.

When you cross the Jag into Ij,s DJ's, etc you get different colors. IE A DJJ Is bright neon yellow, where as an IJ jag is a bright orange.

Jag's have a few issues associated that have been discussed in detail else where, There Neurological, (act like spider head wobble) the super is a non-viable lethal lucy...too bad it never lives!

Hope that helps you out, The Head wobble doesn't seem to effect them negatively, its just a problem associated with the trait.
