question about GIMP

soma215 Oct 31, 2009 05:42 PM

Hi.

I'm trying to post photos here to KS. I've been using GIMP to resize the photos down to 1200 x 1028, but when I save them, they save w/ a .xcf file extension. I don't think KS recognizes this format because I've tried to post the photos several times & they have yet to show up. Does anybody know how to get GIMP to save in a .jpg format?

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help w/ this.

Wayne

Just save the picture in another format. A JPG.

Look in the "save as" dialog, for that option. It doesn't show right away, you need to click on it, and the window will expand with it.

good luck.
