i have a question... i saw a video on youtube last week of a giant chameleon eating a lizard. he seemed very active with the hunt of the lizard. im not sure what kind of lizard it was. well heres my question. my panther will only eat meal worms off my hand. i am sure he does not eat any of the crickets i put in there. i count how many i put in and there are never any gone. i read about perking their interest with green grub worms. im wondering if maybe i get an anole he might "hunt" him. i have no idea where i could get a grub worm. am i crazy? will i only be stressing him out? hmmm hmmm please help lol.

i put the url so you can watch!

Have you tried holding a large cricket[like by it's back legs] in front of him...maybe he is a bit lazy and wants to be served.Or try a large cockroach...most big lizards love them.I would avoid feeding him lizards, you don't know what parasites they may have.

i see what your saying about the disease factor in the lizard. ive tried to feed him crickets like u say by the hand but he never takes them. and its not like hes not hungry. right afterwards ill offer a mealworm and he takes it with no hesitation. he probably is lazy.. like me haha. ill def try the large cockroach or silk worm. ill just have to wait until the next snake show to get some. thanks

My Cadberry( Panther) is getting quite old and moves very slowly these days, but always perks up for BIG bugs/ Roaches, and goes nuts over a grasshopper when I can find one.

They used to be everywhere when I was a kid, but only see a few a year now. Weird!

Hope your guy begins to eat better for you

He would probably love a great big horn worm.

An anole will be a pretty big meal for a panther. One feeder that really gets chams going are houseflies. They move a lot and tend to cluster right under the cage lights and attract the cham's attention. Culture them, don't gather them as you don't know what nasty things they've been crawling around on. Grubco sells pupae and larvae.
