HELP small neck bump

SooperScoot Nov 12, 2009 11:41 AM

Hi,
I noticed today that my baby eastern box turtle has a small lump on the back of his neck. It looks like a pimple thats about to burst. It was definitely not there yesterday. It doesn't seem to bother him much and his eating/drinking habits are normal. The area around the bump is alot lighter than his normal color. What is it and what caused it?

Probably the only one who can tell you is an experienced herp vet after they check it out in person (as opposed to via the web).

I agree. There doesn't seem to be any info on a specifically similar case; however, the bump came off and exposed a tiny flesh wound. Im thinking that maybe he got a cut or something and its just trying to heal. Im using some anti-bacterial creme to help the process and it looks much better now. If it doesnt heal completely in the next few days, Im going to the vet.
