Habitat background ideas

Boost Nov 12, 2009 05:20 PM

It's funny a couple years ago I found more than a few different options for fun and easy backgrounds. Now, less choices, less fun and not as easy, so I'm looking into some habitat background ideas. There are a couple of different companies that do produce habitat backgrounds, though neither are really optimal solutions for what I am needing. One company produces a singular background type which uses magnets to place it on the interior of your habitat. There's another company who's backgrounds are interesting but those involve an adhesive to place it permanently. So I'm looking at something that the lizards can climb on sun themselves, easy to place and remove for cleaning purposes.

Any ideas??

Lol, I wouldn't deny you your lizard fix Eve both of the girls are doing great very active and both piggies at dinner time. They have both shed twice so far and I'm looking at moving them onto a slab rock/sand bottom very soon. We drained the pond attached to a now ex-spa at my father-in-laws place, he's 95 and has no use for the spa. The slab rocks were from above surface as decoration, good and solid, I just need to find the time to clean them and work on them.

I'll get pictures posted soonish, Ommarosa is the only other lizard awake as Bugsy, Clyde, and Thelma have all donned their sleep caps for the time being.

Ever try making your own? For my collared's I made one that I can slip in and remove if I want to clean the entire tank. Here's mine:
