Plumed Basilisk color variation

erichaycraft Nov 14, 2009 09:02 AM

My oldest male spent the first 7 months of his life bright teal green. As he has matured he spends most of his days a dark green, still with dots of blue-green. At night the animal is bright again as it sleeps. HAs anyone had experience with color variation? The animal is healthy and active. It is the dominant male in a colony. Varied diet, worms, dusted crickets, mice, fiddler crabs. Mercury vapor buld and flourescents. Temp 70 at nite to 85-90 during day. I have 6 of these animals at various ages.
