New Uro Anxiety

KevinM Nov 15, 2009 08:40 PM

I took the plunge and bought a sub-adult mali uro at a herp show this weekend. I already have a young adult mali female, and the vendor was pretty sure the one I purchased is a male. It was his last mali and he claimed he had it for about six months and it was doing well. It's a bit thin looking, but luckily it fed after I set it up in its new cage yesterday. It's inquisitive and not nervous, and fed very well again today on some fresh greens after it warmed up under the UVB/heat bulb this morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed he does well and will make a mate for my female in another year or two!!

We always worry about them, new or long time pets Congratulations and best wishes with your new uro. Post some pics, and keep us updated on how he's doing!

Thanks!! He is doing well so far and is filling out more and more every day. The older female appears to tolerate him pretty well and no fighting. They actually share the hide together and I think she actually enjoys his company LOL!! I am pretty bad at posting pics and really need to figure it out!!!
