Shooting in sand #2!!!

asnakelovinbabe Nov 17, 2009 11:24 PM

Had some spare time and took a few more photos last night of some snakes that were in shed the last time I wanted to take their pics!

But first... a word from 5 itty bitty sponsors:

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program!

First up... my favorite rubrilineatus... she is the most beautiful ribbon I've ever seen!

Here's my little male axanthic radix... see his "ears?!" isn't that cute.

Heres the flame I caught... she's a picky eater and a slow grower but she's making progress and that's good enough for me!

Rainbow Man! One of the sexiest Concinnus ever!

Heres the hypo"ish" male checkered, still a rather little thing compared to the others his age. but for good reason, he almost died of a hemipenal abscess but I managed to save him!

And here's the codominant "pastel?" checkered. I don't like the name hypo, it's clearly not hypomelanistic! It doesn't suit the trait at all. The black is actually increased as opposed to reduced. It's hypercontrasted!!!

I would challenge you to find a sexier puget than Bluebie, but I realize it can't be done... have had her for 4 years now!!! She was one of the first garters I ever got!

And now for my 4 most tasty Banded water snake holdbacks... I have 8, but here are my favorite 4. As they are growing I, and now you, can clearly see which of them are cherries, and which of them are both cherry and pale hypo mixed. The pale cherry visuals are being called sunbursts.

Here's a cherry female, this one is special because every speck of color on her is some shade of red or maroon! Nice and dark...And the white flecks top it off!

Here's my prize cherry male:

My sunburst female, and my male is literally IDENTICAL. I can't tell them apart unless I look at their tails....

And the cream of the crop, the amazing vanishing pattern sunburst! What kind of surprises will come out of her?! bands on the neck, bands on the tail, none in between! It's hard to see, but there is a tan stripe running down her back (the patternless part.) She's already 9 or 10 inches long.

And now for fun we will throw in Midas, my albino king rat snake! He's not exactly... friendly!

And I thought i would add that my female sunbeam snake is doing rather well! I think we are coming up on a year for her!

That's it for tonight's show! Thanks everyone!
