Why is it that the purples cost more? Is it just that people really like, or are they less frequent in clutches? I'm willing to pay the extra cost myself (hah, but damn it sucks!) I'm just curious.

I would say it is the Prefered clark albino. My personal opinion is that they are the best looking and most variable in breeding. I would also have to add purple is as close to black as it comes in terms of albino.! they rock!
heh I agree with you about them being the prettiest. I'm getting a pair this year--female purple tiger, and a male dwarf (depending on what hatches out, either an albino or albino tiger, prefer purple).
pricey but DAMN they're neat!
