Help: Male MBK to Female sunglow corn

snakeadventures Nov 19, 2009 09:49 PM

I am planning to try breeding my lone MBK male to one of my female corns after this hibernation and first shed in the spring. What do I need to know? (I already know to be careful not to let the female corn become a meal) Any helpful info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Robby

Aside from making sure that he has had all he can eat a few hours before being introduced to the corn, just cross your fingers. If she is receptive he should be thinking "make love, not war." There is a higher percentage of female kings eating their prospective mates than males. It is well known that males of many species will pass up food for love.

Best of luck,
Amanda

P.S.

I would not leave them alone together, just in case. Snakes don't care if you watch. LOL
