i want to start learning what it would take to get my hand into this hobby/trade. i have 1.5 years experience with some agamas and i am learning more and more each step of the way.

where can i go, who can i talk to, how did you learn.

i already know first hand how expencive a vet can be. with that aside. knowing the testing and treatments available.

dont take this as just some one posting up wanting to make money. its not about that. i have a passion for this, and wish to expand upon it and offer great reptiles to people.

Hi, I understand your passion, but in all honestly do not think you have much experience, and yes you would do well talking to other major breeders and even contact people who make a reptiles their buisness. Ask question, see what pro's and con's they can share with you.

I have been into keeping and breeding some species for 10 years or so and can say it is my passion, but I have suffered through some things along the way that you must be prepared for, illness, parasites, expense/ tanks, lighting uvb/ food , medicines. Emergency space/tanks for quarentine and sick animals. TIME, love, and dedication, have gotten me through. I do sell some offspring here and there but it would never compare/ come close, to the cost I put into my animals.

YES it has to be more about the love of them and not the money made from them or you will be selling sickly lizards full of parasites, and tossing them in tubs 20 and 30 at a time to make a profit........ THINK LONG AND HARD and know what your getting into. And think about the quality of life that you can provide and afford, to give each animal first. If you have the means to do this, than go for it.
