Texas Indigo Localities?

oxyjansen Nov 22, 2009 07:07 AM

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some areas of Texas south of Houston where I might be able to get some photos of Texas Indigos in their natural habitat?

This will be my first trip to Texas, so locality specifics would be appreciated, as I know nothing of the area.

The Welder Wildlife management area is I believe in Refugio county. You have to call for info to set up a time to go. That is about as far north and the closest to Houston I have seen them, they have a very large downed tree that is the refuge of a few monsters. Google for the info. I doubt you'll get much closer to Houston than that.
