It depends on the outside temp. If you move enough air the temp inside will just about equal the temp outside. I do not know how mean CFM it will take but my guess would be about 500 to 1000 CFM with good ventilation. Now if you are trying to cool the room with a A/C unit you will need about 1 1/2 tons of cooling. Do to the energy cost I would install a swamp cooler because they are cheaper on the electric bill.

Just looked over some info on swamp coolers..It looks great but I am in florida.....major humidity....it keeps saying works with dry air...like the idea of less electricity...those window ac use too much and the ammonia from the rats will eat up the coils..

my buddy lives in ft lauderdale and he uses a window ac unit he only runs it when the temp out side requires him too. he replaces it about every year and a half to 2 years. you would only need a cheap one to cool a space the size of your shed. they run about 100 bucks or so. also he uses a regular house box fan to help with the smell. the ammonia doest effect the coils like youd think the major problem he has with his units is the dust causing the unit to overheat. hope this helps. i will call my buddy and see if he has any info to add.
