Feeding Phoenix Worms

natethegreat Nov 29, 2009 06:27 PM

I heard that you shouldn't feed Phoenix Worms. The ones I got were a bit too small, but I was wondering if I fed them, would they grow faster? Why can't you feed them?

Thanks!

There isn't any need to feed them, though if they are packaged in the black containers, the medium they come in is food they will eat anyway. Just make sure it doesn't completely dry out and eventually the worms will get bigger. Phoenix worms eat organic material, from animal waste to vegetation. They are the larvae of the black soldier fly.
