I think its both good and bad. There have been some spectacular looking hybrids produced over the years that are unique. I am pretty sure the albino gene in colombian boas was used to produce albino surinams and argentines. Certain crosses may have been made due to shortage of parent stock or the desire to produce more vigorous animals like diamond/carpet crosses. Back in the day, the closest you could get to an amel emoryi was the creamsickle before actual amel emoryis were produced. Now the creamsickle is a very established hybrid species in the hobby that has its own place. So, it all depends on what your desire is. However, be aware that finding pure lineage is getting harder with some of these species due to this hybridization. If you only goal is to have a cool looking snake, then I see no problems. If your goal is to have a pure diamond python, surinam redtail boa, etc., etc., then buyer beware!!!
