Venom of Leioheterodon

Jonasgn Dec 06, 2009 01:45 PM

Hi all.
Does anybody know how venomous the Leioheterodon are?
It´s hard to find good info on this species on the web.
So any input will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Jonas

Of absolutely trivial concern. They are one of the big-headed, powerful jawed species that don't use the venom much for predation but rather rely on the crushing bite. Toxins are still present but secreted in only very small amounts

Here are two of our papers that include Leioheterodon
