What is a "super dwarf" retics

SgtStinky Dec 06, 2009 03:25 PM

Over the years I have owned several retics, I really love these pythons, and 2 of them have been called "dwarf" retics. One was a very striking yellow headed male that after 6 years never grew bigger than larger than 13 feet. I traded him out a few years back but I also currently have a female that is even smaller, much smaller. I haven't measured her but I estimate she is around 9 feet and she is 8 years old.

So my question is, what are these dwarf retics? where are they from? are these a product of selective breeding or these local specific sub species? And, who is working with them? I'd like to find a male.

Thanks, I'm really interested in any information that can be provided.

its a scam... reptiles never stop growing... its called indeterminant growth. feed it and it will grow, slowly... but it will grow until its dead.

dont believe? me look it up.
