Florida's senator Bill Nelson says that they would give us time to kill and skin our pet pythons!!!!!!

YoSemite Sam would say "Easy stomach, Easy......" and then I think he would shoot him!

Ok, imagine the OUTRAGE if he said something like this to fancy dog breeders.... You know, the ones that we see on TV at the dog shows....

"We will give you time to kill your dogs before we make them illegal. Don't worry, your canine pelts will keep people warm and make SNAZZY FUR COATS!"

Just imagine what the general soft and furry public would say!

These people do not get that these snakes are the same kind of thing to us. They have personalities, they are not some monkey wrench you pull out of a tool box.

I will tell you cats and dogs are far more dangerous to our environment and to us than any of our HERPS!!

That is an awful thing to say, and it is a very good depiction of the type of person we are facing.

There are numerous well known celebrity types who are part of our industry. Has there been an effort to contact them to use their "clout" to get this debate on the main-stream media? (I'm thinking people like: Kerry King, Slash, Nicolas Cage and I know there are others). These individuals have a much stronger voice than even large groups of keepers like us.

If someone like the aforementioned people were to go on national T.V.; quoting Bill Nelson, and using an analogy similar to yours I can imagine we would acquire an untold quantity of individuals fighting alongside us. Particularly with the voice of reason pointing out that this is being pushed by A.R.A. groups such as the H.S.U.S. hell bent on not only eliminating us as a collective, but all others sectors of the pet trade and the majority of animal based agriculture.

This is often referred to as a "call to action"; if we can confirm the quote then it would be an interesting way to fight back. Many breeders have famous clients and they could be easily recruited. We need a Mr T!
