Please post adult female KSB in hand

Fireproof Dec 27, 2009 11:22 AM

I'd like to see what a breeding size KSB female looks like, but all the pics I've seen are in a tub or something so it's hard to get a perspective on it.

Will someone post some breeding size females in your hand?

I'm looking to breed for the first time. My girl is 200 grams and I want to see how big she will be when she's ready.

Thanks in advance.

(Also - bonus points for offering your opinion on the minimum weight size a female should be before breeding).

Here is my 6 year old Female Paradox Albino Sand Boa. She was bred for the first time by her previous owner starting in December of 2007. I received her April of 2008, and she was gravid at the time. She ended up delivering 12 live offspring and one stillborn for me in June of that year. Sorry for the not so great pictures, they were taken with my cell phone

The Anery is 460 grams but male.

This girl is a few grams over 500.

They use 300 grams as the magic number which can be done in three years but if she isn't ready and you breed her she will have problems for the rest of her life.

I think to be safe 4 years and 300 is the conservative approach.

That's great info. I was thinking breeding would be ok at a year and a half...but the 300g rule is helpful. (and of course, powerfeeding is not what i do). Thanks much for the info!
