Soaking the kids yesterday since it is so dry and I had to clean cages. Always fun interacting with them when I am not in a big rush.

Rich,

How often do you soak your snakes? I'm curious about how much they can be hydrated through their skin. My four-year old blood seems dry these days, during our heating season. I try to keep humidity up around 60-70 percent, but her skin is getting a little ragged in spots on her belly scales and I wonder if occasional soaking might help her out until the next shed. My other snakes, including another blood, seem better hydrated (good sheds, no raggedy edges).

Any advice will be appreciated!

Thanks,

Depends on the enclosure and age/size of the animals. Some weekly some get a tub to soak in as much as they want.
