Guess I worded my last post wrong.

Does anyone know any companies or people that supply snakes for feeders? I have a coral and am in search of a supply of live or f/t smallish snakes (corns, rats, garters, etc) to keep him fed. Thanks in advance for any help!

I have seen Mark M lucas offer them for sale. Another option would be to breed your own--I know how small corals can be so this may be your best bet to get appropriately sized snakes. The only snafu that I come across here is that I am not comfortable freezing herps for later use or breaking their necks to freeze them for later use; but if you are comfortable doing so, have at it. Curious--will they take scented rodents or will they even take lizards? Both would be easier to obtain than snakes. Bravo though for wanting to feed the most natural diet possible.

I've tried a few anoles caught outside, figuring since it was caught locally, if they were on the menu normally he might be inclined to take it. No such luck so far. I'm not planning to keep him, as I'm not much of a hot dealer, but a friend in Austin does research and said the snake could be useful depending on the locale he was caught in. After I told him, he said he could definitely be of use, but I can't meet up with him til around March, so I'm trying to keep the snake healthy until then.
