moving with an Ig

Since we rescued our iguana, Bud, we have moved two times. As I am sure some people know, it can be difficult when factoring in cage dismantling and rebuilding and their (or at least our's) "elitist" attitude in general... Well, both of our last moves were in the summer so weather was not an issue. This time though I am moving just 3 miles but in the dead of winter (or Atlanta's version of winter) and the highs over the next couple of weeks are less than ideal for his royal highness... Any ideas on how to accomplish this without turning him into an iguanasicle?

I have moved in fall thankfully, however I do a few select events in winter where my animals are exposed to the elements.

What I do is warm hot water packs. Place them inside a rubbermaid tote of appropriate size. I make sure the pack is wrapped so it doesnt burn the animal. I then place the animal in and close it. The rubbermaids I use are not air tight so I do not supply air holes.

Honestly with a few miles, a rubbermaid with towels and a warm vehicle you will be fine!

Thank you so much! I was getting worried about how we were going to move him.
