Hope everyone is staying warm

Because this weather is ridiculous. The coldest week in my areas history. Well by Monday I'll be able to tell you with certainty if the heaters we used performed adequately or I might be a gecko keeper by Tuesday.

I am beginning to see the appeal of the gecko.

I reserve the right to change my opinion upon the first warm sunny day.

Mr.Conner how are you making it in San Antonio?

Pulled a Nile who did the same thing this morning. We expected it though as for some reason she does it every cold front so we where waiting for her.

Ya know Chris, I am still floored that an american alligator died of cold exposure in florida.... Then again it is python country.

How is the nile doing? Did you get her in time to revive?

hate winter!!!
So I'm complaining last night about how sick I am of this weather. How I want to move somewhere warmer. My wife, of 19 years who is originally from Buffalo NY says, I can't take it anywhere that is hotter than here. She says, she likes the cold.
Now she says this from the couch where she is reclining with an electric throw.
I'm standing there, my hands are numb. I'm certain I'm going to lose the tip of my right middle finger to frostbite. My pants are stiff with ice. I got wet catching up turtles and the water froze. At 22 degrees water does that. I can complain to you because you coastal towns are tropical compared to the Hill Country. Seriously at 11:00 at night I decide my 3 Alligator Snappers shouldn't overnight it. They had predicted 15 but 20 was the lowest. I drained their pool picked up those heavy wet turtles and took them to the snake building.
The bad news they are claiming tonight will be colder, maybe 8.
Tomorrow night back up to 15. My sister,Chicago, and buddies in SD and WY have no sympathy but this born and bred Texas boy is hating life. I've doubled up on all the croc heaters so they are toasty which will be reflected by my electric bill.
My wife wants me to schedule a time to come down and check out the wood burning heaters. Hope everything is okay. D.C.

Dang, 20 degrees is nearly t-shirt and short weather in Chicago!...right now we have 30 degree temps and folks are walking around in shirts w/no coats - it feels balmy. Of course, we don't keep our crocs outdoors so I can't imagine how stressful that must be for all of you in the south...I'd be a wreck. Look forward to hearing how the heaters work as we are looking to build something outdoors where the crocs can enjoy some sun for at least a part of the year.
