Is Garlic good for lizards???
Never had it come up and don't know anyone who feeds it, especially on a forum where the lizard is insectivorous. Any particular reason your interested?
Lol just a thought really, considering how great it is for us humans.
Hey Sean, I don't think I would consider it, I understand your pondering or wondering about it, since it is said to kind of help ward of infections.
** There has been much discussion and many warnings as far as NOT using garlic or onions for that matter , with dogs and cats.
Some say they used it and their dogs were fine, others say garlic " IN LARGER QUANITIES" is toxic and it is better NOT to use it at all.
***Garlic can cause damage to the blood cells of animals, which in turn may cause anemia, ranging in seriousness from mild to very serious, where the blood cells may burst, leading to death.
With these kinds of reports I agree I woudl rather not chance it,

Okedoke, so garlic is off the menu, sigh no 'cricket marinara' or 'mealworm alfredo' but in all seriousness I shall not go with that thought process.

Cilantro is the seasoning of choice for collareds.
Now if we were talking lacertids, you would want to go with oregano.
Save the paprika for chameleons and agamids.
Garlic MAY taste OK on monitor lizards.
