How do you tell the difference between male and females?

Depends how old the chameleons are. When very young, they tend to look alot alike. You may be able to tell by looking at the base of the tail, where females have a little dent after the vent and males have room for growth. As they get older, colour and the male buldge at the base of the tail are easy indicators.
