Who is working with Bateaters?

Pithons Jan 13, 2010 09:40 PM

Just wondering who has and is working with bateaters. All I know of is a guy in Canada. I know NERD produced a few over the years but havent produced any or tryed in the last 3 years. I think High end herps may have had some but they didnt produce any last year either. I would like more info on who is working with these and who should be producing them in 2010. Thanks

We have bred the Platinum gene into the Bateater to make Platinum Jungles... Fertility is VERY low on this stuff for sure...I have tried several times to breed bateater to bateater and failed PERFECTLY!!

This year we are doing Bateater to Golden Child......

The Jungle 'tics are just plain awesome and VARIABLE!

Yes jungle tics are nice... But the jungle burms are also nice. Do you plan to make and jungle burms.. What about any plain bateaters.. I still like the plain bateaters the best and hopefully will own one soon. Thanks

Still early for Burmese breeding here.... been working on retic breeding mostly.... Don't know if we will make any bateaters.... you have no idea how that can waste an entire clutch with infertiles!

I like the Jungle tics much better since I like retics over burms a bit better.... I have never made the Jungle Burm.... and I have better retic genetics to work a project and make crazy stuff with..

Bu you are right, bateaters are AWESOME!!

Thanks for the reply. PM sent.

If you go for the bateaters this year, who knows you may get lucky.

may be looming....

I just had an awesome female bat eater ovulate that has been breeding a male golden child...

I really think that will be an interesting one...

Sounds promising! If you get any good snakes, I would love to see some pictures

I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but I didn't want to say anything until I was a little more sure about how it was going to go, but I have Bateater eggs in the incubator now.I candled last night and saw movement so I'm pretty optimistic, so I guess I am working with them this year.
