Another morph question?! Yes...

kouneli Jan 15, 2010 01:36 AM

Ok...I'm guessing that I have a Harlequin, a Pinstripe, and a Yellow Brindle.....But seeing that I'm new with cresties, I would like to confirm my guesses.

Gecko #1

He(?) does get darker when fired up, but not quite as dark as I've seen others in pictures (such as the Halloween Harlequins).

Gecko #2

This guy gets extremely dark when fired up. Almost like a dark dark chocolate.

Gecko #3

I've never really seen this guy change colors. Yellow tiger/brindle?

Also...what are the differences between a fire and a harlequin? Or a tiger and a brindle? Which of these 3 are a rarer morph?

Top one looks just like my little girl!
I would say your guess's are right, but while I'm not "new" to them I'm also no expert lol.
And from what i know the differences between a fire and a harlequin are that a fire or "flame" does have as much pattern/markings on there sides and legs as the harly.

And a tiger and a brindle i think can either be considered the same thing or maybe a tiger would be when you can make out obvious bold stripes and a brindle when its just all mixed in the pattern.

Harlequins are pretty common, but I'm not sure which of the other two would be considered more "rare" I've found it hard to find a really nice tiger, but it seems hard as well to find a full pin.

Hope this was at least of some help to you!

Anna.

Thank you, Anna....and your crestie is very pretty, as well :D. They do look a lot alike.

Currently don't have names for my guys (girls?), but have been calling them Tig, Pinner, and Harley....gee...I wonder why. lol
Doesn't take any guessing as to who's named what.

I'm dying to get a yellow tiger or yellow dalmatian! but don't have the money at the moment for a whole new setup haha, and thanks to my cutie i ended up with her cause she was just being so darn cute trying to hind a way out of the containers they put them in at reptile shows like she was screaming "PICK ME! Well, it has been determined (a while ago, actually) that I do have a yellow tiger, a "Halloween" harley, and a 80-90% pinstripe. FORTUNATELY....I have 2 females and one male (the harley)! YAY! They all have names now...Tiga (guess who lol), Kone, the pinner, and Koumac the harley.
